The People who Served from the Mannerim Area
Fifty-seven soldiers are listed on the Mannerim Memorial Plaque for those who served in World War 1. The list was based on the original Roll of Honour from the Marcus Hill Hall, then expanded. The names on the plaque were chosen because these soldiers were either born or lived at the time of enlistment in Marcus Hill, Mannerim, or Swan Bay. Due to the records kept at the time, quite often there were spelling differences or even name differences for those who were referred to by a different first name. Considerable work has been put into reviewing the list.
