“Fungi have long puzzled humans, inspiring both reverence and disregard. Yet they are essential to life, underpinning ecosystems, forming alliances across kingdoms, and driving recovery after disturbance. At the dynamic intersection of science and art, their most compelling possibilities emerge.

In this interactive talk, Alison explores the ecology and aesthetics of fungi, drawing on field experiences from both hemispheres and sharing stories from her recent book.’

 Alison is an ecologist and professional photographer with a focus on fungi, and is author of six books. This a part of the "Fabulous Fungi" art exhibition in partnership with Artisans of Australia.
