The Indigenous Nursery
Located on the Bellarine, our Indigenous Nursery is part of a joint initiative between Bellarine Landcare Group and Bellarine Secondary College.
The Nursery is located in Belchers Road, Drysdale.
It's usually open by appointment 9am-3pm Monday, Tuesday & Thursday plus the last Sunday of every month from 10am to 1pm.
If you would like to visit please contact Nursery Manager, Fiona Love.
Ph. 0439 392 369 Email landcarenursery@bigpond.com to make a time to visit.
Each year the nursery produces thousands of seedlings for purchase by Landcare members for home gardens and for major revegetation projects.
The Nursery Species list is here. A list of the wetland plants of the Bellarine, including the species we grow, is here. Some plants are difficult to propagate so to ensure supply it's best to speak to our Nursery Coordinator and put in an order ahead of time. For larger orders 6 months lead time is required.
The Nursery relies on many loyal volunteers who contribute their time and effort. There is a true sense of community among the "regulars", sharing time, skills, stories, and even cakes.
Why not visit the Nursery or join the Landcare Group for local events?
